The Addington Highlands has a very healthy population of deer, elk, moose, black bear, wild turkey and ruffed grouse making it the perfect hunting destination.

Hunting is an important activity for people around the world. For many it is still an important method of food gathering. For others, hunting is a recreational activity that provides an opportunity to further friendships and family ties. For most hunters it is also a chance to experience nature and relax in the outdoors while making an important contribution to conservation.

Hidden Cove Cottage Resort is surrounded by hundreds of acres of crown land accessed by foot trails and logging roads, making it a prime destination for spring and fall hunting. Approximately 15 years ago, Elk were reintroduced into the area and today the Addington Highlands has one of the healthiest Elk herds in Ontario. Commencing in 2011, Elk tags were released for the autumn hunt. We welcome hunters with elk or deer tags to stay with us during the hunt. We are located in WMU 61. Call for cottage rates during hunting seasons.

Amenities are provided for those successful in their hunting excursion. Please ask us for details.

Firearms are to be unloaded and safely secured at all times while at Hidden Cove Cottages.
